1 How To Repair

Before starting to repair, back up the Mac first.
Discharge the battery fully.
Power off the MacBook.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Keep the power cord unplugged while the device is being repaired.
Unplug all power cables.
Remove all laptop cases and covers.
Make sure to clear your workspace.
Wear an ESD wristband and attach it to a properly grounded ESD mat.

2 How to Care

Follow the instructions to attach the battery cover immediately after removing the bottom case.
Remove the battery from the logic board.
When the battery is exposed, keep the battery cover on the battery.
Make sure to set aside all parts and screws removed during the repair and then account for them at the end of the repair.
Before installing the bottom case, remove the battery cover immediately.
